Valentine's Leaves a Marc-ing Impression

One of our fans just pointed out to us the abundance of Marc Jacobs in the latest Valentines Day movie. Yes - we did notice it too! Not exactly super high-fashion, but at least they stayed true to what the characters could afford, with Jennifer Garner the primary school teacher wearing the chic Marc by Marc Jacobs brand all throughout the movie.

Here she is in the classroom with a Karen Dot Cardigan:

... and a Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Huge Hillier Hobo:

Taylor Swift the high school student wears an Anthropologie Cabin Fever Tunic (above) and American Apparel running shorts (below):

Mmmmm... the Taylors. Love.

Jessica Alba stars as a coporate quasi-bitch that dumps Ashton (WHY? WHY??). She carries a Tod's Upper Bag throughout the movie:

And Jessica Biel the buff publicist in her many Louboutins:

The movie also showcases iPhones & Blackberries aplenty. Even the Macbook makes an appearance:

Ok, its not The Hills or Gossip Girl so the designer drool-factor is at a dull hum, but hey - we love anything that makes even Queen Latifah look this good!

Meanwhile, I know we've yapped on about this a million times already but WE JUST CANT WAIT FOR SATC 2 The Movie...

Oh May 28, come quickly plz...

Dress Me Pretty farewells Alexander McQueen

From skull print scarfs to dramatic catwalk shows. From obscenely obscure shoes to large-sized (and paraplegic) models, Alexander McQueen changed the face of fashion and unleashed it - untamed - into new territory.

Our favorite McQueen moments:
Who could forget the lobster-clawed Armadillo shoes that Lady Gaga wore throughout her entire Bad Romance music video:

... the theatrical catwalk shows he displayed:

... the models he abused (rumour has it that McQueen stylists laced the models up so tightly at Paris Fashion Week that one of them, 19-year-old Australian Abbey Lee Kershaw, passed out backstage from an overly-cinched corset)

... and the models he used. Think: 22 year-old disabled athlete/model Aimee Mullins fronted one of his London catwalk shows:

... outrageous plaid gown he designed for SJP:

... and of course, his skull scarves, coveted by fashionista all over the world:

I'll be wearing mine with pride.

Mr Lee Alexander McQueen, goodnight. Here's a message from one of our fans.

Stay Pretty

Turning Japanese...

Gracie's recent trip around Japan had us going gaga (quite literally) for the funky styles and fashion there!

Lady Gaga hairpiece & hearts'n'bows galore LOVE ~~ !!

Anna Sui scrunchie - omg they're back! Worn on wrist & in hair:

Obsession with purple pop... Balenciaga Envelope, Louis Vuitton silk scarf & matching tights:

Old school Burberry with some SJP drama!

Fuscia whore...

Its the super short vintage dress paired with leather & teal tights that shout EDGY. The addition of a pink B bag & beret headband may shout (slightly) LOONEY but hey, it works!

Having a versatile jacket while travelling is super important - look how much wear I got out of this leather jacket - worn here with a studded bow skirt & accessorised with a Tiffany cashmere scarf, 2-toned tights, AND... introducing the new super-cute Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Rose Florentin ...

Louis Vuitton pink monogram scarf, super short floral skirt, pink suede jacket & Kitson bag mmmmm:

Oversized flower headband, Louis Vuitton monogram scarf in black, deep blue military jacket, silk shirt & b&w miniskirt Rhianna-style. And of course, those super-high boots seen everywhere in Tokyo:

Always a sucker for polka dots :D

And last but not least... dressing up as a traditional geisha. Ahhhhh.

Stay Pretty girls!
