Sarah Burton brings some light into McQueen's dark world

As far as successors go, Burton has done a stellar job of taking over the Alexander McQueen brand. Showing off her first full collection on Tuesday at Paris fashion week, the designer has impressed critics - and us here at Dress Me Pretty - with her intuitive take on the brand's identity.

Whilst still paying homage to McQueen's legacy, the designer provided a feminine, lighter touch to the house's once dark and intense profile.Simple fresh makeup and hair and soft gowns with a distinctive McQueen touch completed the new collection.

Of course, noone could ever replace him... but having worked with the legend for almost 20 years, Burton has proved to be the perfect choice to continue on his visionary legacy.
